Needs
PEACH SYSTEM
- Telemetry System for the boat. This measures individual output of rowers on the water. It correlates the force curve with video which gives concrete data to aid in improvements in techniques for strokes.
LAST 500 MACHINES
- A training tool that looks like a seated row machine in the gym but the seat slides to mimic the rowing stroke. This teaches the athlete to connect with the weight and to be patient rather than "jumping" and "shooting the slide."
POWERLINE BACKSTAYS
- These attach to the actual shell of the boat and provides stiffness to the shell and prevents flexing of the riggers (which takes a large amount of the force of the stroke). The stiffness allows for a better transfer of power and boat speed.
BARBELL ACCELEROMETER
- These attach to the barbells in the weight room that allows for additional metrics to be tracked for each rower. It can track the speed with which the bar moves during movements in the weight room as well as tracking the bar path. This data can be used to give targets when training and track improvements in motions.
CONCEPT 2 ERG MACHINES
- Replacing old erg machines with new, state-of-the-art machines will help improve on-land training for all rowers at all levels.
