Since 2011, Valiant Hearts has been serving women affected by human trafficking and sexual exploitation in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area. These women have access to programs and resources such as weekly support group, case management, licensed professional counseling, financial, career, and life coaching, mentorship, and customized care for life to support them in their healing journey.

Sometimes the first step toward healing is simply getting there.
Every week, women come to Valiant Hearts looking for support, encouragement, connection, and something many have been missing for a long time: a safe community of women who understand.
But sometimes a very practical problem stands between a woman and that room.
Transportation.
When finances are already stretched thin, especially in this current economy, the cost of gas can become one more barrier to showing up. At Valiant Hearts, we don't want a woman who is ready for support to have to choose between putting gas in her car and meeting another immediate need.
That's why we provide gas cards to help women get to support group.
And right now, $15 can help get a woman there.
It may seem like a small thing. But that $15 can help remove a very real barrier between her and a room where she can find encouragement, consistency, and community - a place where people know her name, notice when she isn't there, celebrate her victories, and remind her that she doesn't have to rebuild alone.
Valiant Hearts holds approximately 48 support groups each year.
This North Texas Giving Day, our goal is to raise $12,960 to help remove transportation barriers for women coming to group throughout the year.
Why $12,960?
$15 x approximately 18 women x 48 weeks of support group = $12,960 in transportation assistance. Some of the women travel longer distances and may need additional assistance to get to support group.
$15 can help her get to group. Community can help her keep going.
Some of the challenges women face as they rebuild their lives after sexual exploitation are complicated.
This one is solvable.
