$5,000 Goal

Dallas is continually growing.
Every day, we see new construction projects underway, concrete being poured, steel being erected, and buildings rising.

But, if you look closely, you will notice a green space tucked into one of Dallas’ most beautiful and historic neighborhoods.
That green space is Turtle Creek Park, an area of pristine grass and tall trees providing a respite for animals and humans alike.

Look more closely and you will see a refuge from city life, one that has been protected and preserved for decades, so that all people in our city have a place to stretch their legs, play, and celebrate. You will also discover a group of dedicated citizens whose unwavering goal is to maintain this treasure –
you will find Turtle Creek Conservancy
For years, we have been steadfast in our efforts to preserve, conserve, and maintain this historic, natural retreat for the citizens of Dallas.

And just as the park is welcoming to everyone, so are we. Welcome to Turtle Creek Park and welcome to the Turtle Creek Conservancy.

Now, more than ever, the park is a scenic respite from the hustle and bustle of our busy society. The Turtle Creek Conservancy works to bring accessibility and connectivity to Turtle Creek Park through the Katy Trail and the Turtle Creek Corridor so the park and Arlington Hall can be enjoyed by those close to the park, as well as our neighbors in Uptown, Oak Lawn, the Park Cities and all citizens of Dallas.

Turtle Creek Park is alive and is in constant need of pruning, trimming, irrigation repair, sidewalk/pathway clearing & repair, care of 1500+ trees, replacement of shrubs, plants and flowers, and the care and maintenance of stately Arlington Hall. By becoming a Park Supporter, your contribution makes a difference as we care for Turtle Creek Park and Arlington Hall.

Mission

The Turtle Creek Conservancy is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to the conservation, preservation and exceptional care of Turtle Creek Park and Arlington Hall, while creating a public space for physical and mental wellness, connection, entertaining, and educational programs.

We are updating Arlington Hall to conserve and enhance the building so that all Dallas citizens can enjoy it for years to come. Estimated cost - $150,000 (painting, wallpaper, furniture, draperies, artwork)

Also, in partnership with the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department, we are completing new Capital Improvement Projects for Turtle Creek Park. Estimated Cost - $170,000 ($85,000 provided by a match from the City of Dallas.)

-Update The Turtle Creek Park Sign at Hall Street and Turtle Creek Boulevard

-One Flagstone Picnic Table on the East Parcel

-Safety Iron Rail Along Walkway on West Parcel

-Flagstone Pathways on West Parcel

-Vintage Light Poles and Tree Lighting on East Parcel
