$10,000 Goal

North Texas Thunder Water Polo prepares athletes for a lifetime of learning through the love of the game. Each year Thunder sends dozens of athletes off to play water polo in college. With over a decade of training athletes and with the best networked coaches in the state Thunder shares our expertise with students who may have not had the same opportunities had they not played the game.

Our Needs

Unfortunately families under financial stress will cut out extracurricular activities first which ends up leaving children home alone with nothing constructive to do. Studies have shown over and over that kids who play sports do better in school, are happier, healthier, and more socially secure. We want to keep the kids playing. With your help we can keep operating cost low and offer financial assistance to families in need.

Mission

North Texas Thunder Water Polo's mission is to promote a positive atmosphere that encourages self-esteem, hard work, physical fitness, teamwork and respect for self and others which will maximize each athlete's potential and to develop players of character from novice to the national level.

Equity Statement

We abide by and adopt all USA Water Polo rules and guidlines:

Diversity has many different definitions. USA Water Polo believes the concept of diversity

encompasses acceptance and respect. It means understanding that each individual is unique and

recognizing our individual differences. These differences may be along the dimensions of race,

ethnicity, gender, (gender identity and expression) sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age,

physical abilities, religious beliefs, and political beliefs. USA Water Polo believes in exploring these

differences in a safe and positive environment. It is about understanding each other and moving

beyond "tolerance" to truly embrace and celebrate the dimensions of diversity contained in each and

every individual. USA Water Polo believes Inclusion is about valuing all individuals, providing equal

opportunity to all and removing any real or perceived barriers to involvement. Inclusion is creating

and maintaining an environment in which people are not excluded or marginalized because of their

difference. It means promoting an environment in which contributions and strengths are

recognized, optimized and valued in a way that generates opportunities for adaptability, problemsolving, growth and ultimately increased success.
