Thin Line Fest

A nonprofit organization

Thin Line Fest is the largest documentary festival in Texas screening nearly 100 documentary films every year. Many of the filmmakers attend from around the world sharing their intimate stories of diverse people and places. Other than films, attendees will enjoy dozens of musical acts across many different genres; as well as over 200 printed photographs as a part of the competitive photography festival.
In an effort to expand access to our diverse media exhibitions, Thin Line Fest in 2017 became one of the few film festivals of our size to drop tickets and transition to a free festival. General Admission to all festival programming is free; only a simple registration is required.
Set in the historic downtown Denton square, Thin Line Fest is one of the most unique festivals in Texas.
