ScholarShot supports first-generation students in achieving career-ready certificates or degrees to strengthen the Texas workforce and improve institutional outcomes. The ScholarShot program provides persistent hands-on academic guidance, emotional, and financial support to first-generation college students to ensure they earn a degree, are career-ready, and exit poverty. Scholars in our program are assigned an Academic Manager and receive up to $3,000 or $6,000 per year in scholarship funding, depending on degree type. ScholarShot Academic Managers provide opportunities for our Scholars to build their social networks, engage in career prep conversations, gain experience through unique internship opportunities, and graduate career- and workforce-ready. ScholarShot has a 90% degree completion rate!
