Our Story:
Our daughter Annika Eve’s pregnancy was a normal and uncomplicated pregnancy. At her 36 week checkup showed that she was perfect and healthy, with no concerns at all. However, at her 37-week appointment which also happened to be our 10th wedding anniversary , despite there being no warning signs or indications of a problem, I heard the worst words of my life: there is no heartbeat. In that moment, our world was turned upside down, we were filled with disbelief, shock and many unanswered questions and we were overwhelmed by a pain unlike anything we had ever experienced.
Three years later, we were unexpectedly blessed to learn that I was pregnant with twins. Only one month later , we heard those haunting words . “we are sorry, there is no heart beat in either baby” just as quickly as they came into our lives, they were gone.
The tools and support that I have received from the Hope Box in the hospital first with Annika’s death came into use again. This box allows women walking the same road to know they are not alone. A community with no judgement just understanding and support makes those heavy grief days bearable.
We are asking for you to join us in supporting this wonderful organization in there mission to support other women and their families during these heartbreaking moments of losing a child.
Some of What Hope Mommies Dallas Chapter offers:
Hope Mommies Dallas Chapter provides Hope Boxes to over 25 hospitals and clinics in the Dallas area. Plus, we also give Hope Boxes to individual grieving moms in our local community as needs arise. Our goal is to pack and distribute 400 Hope Boxes in 2027. Each Hope Box costs $60 to make. For every $60 you give, a grieving mom receives a box filled with Biblical resources, self-care items, and a handwritten note from another Hope Mom reminding her that she is not alone and is seen and loved. As a nonprofit, we rely 100% on generous donations.
