Hello, friends and supporters!

As a proud Readers 2 Leaders team member, I’m excited to launch a personal fundraiser to support our mission of equipping students for success through the power of reading. At Readers 2 Leaders, we’re committed to ensuring that all students have equitable opportunities to thrive as both readers and leaders. With your help, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of the children we serve.

Why I’m Fundraising

As a child, I loved to read. Books opened up entire worlds for me, and I could lose myself for hours in their pages. Reading sparked my imagination, built my confidence, and taught me that there was always something new to learn.

That love of reading never faded. As an adult, I still always have at least one book going at any given time. Reading continues to bring me joy, expand my perspective, and fuel a lifelong love of learning.

I know firsthand the power that reading can have in a child's life. Strong literacy skills are the foundation for educational success, confidence, and future opportunities. That's why I am proud to support Readers 2 Leaders and its mission to help children develop the reading skills they need to thrive.

This year's theme, "Reading is a Science," reminds us that becoming a strong reader is not left to chance. Through evidence-based instruction and proven approaches, we can help more children unlock the benefits that literacy provides.

I am fundraising because every child deserves the opportunity to experience the confidence, curiosity, and possibilities that reading creates. Thank you for joining me in supporting Readers 2 Leaders and helping more children become readers, learners, and future leaders.

Facts & Figures

During fiscal year 2025 (July 1, 2024 – June 30, 2025), R2L achieved the following results:

- Served 2,000 children during the school year and summer;

- Served 393 adults through literacy coaching and training programs; and reached an additional 6,000 students through literacy trainings for educators and caregivers.

- Had 94 percent of students make measurable growth in key early literacy skills;

- Had 89 percent of children grow or maintain their reading skills during the 2025 summer camp.
