We have already begun this research with 7 Catholic professionals of different disinclines and 7 Catholics involved in the church ranging from clergy to administrators to ministers. We are making lots of progress in finding common themes in our qualitative research that is evidence based to be valid and reliable.
Bridging the Gap pilot program is doing systematic research. Our hypothesis is simple but revolutionary: Catholic professionals who want to serve the Church can be systematically connected with Catholic families who need their services, creating sustainable models for faith-integrated community care.
Our six-month pilot program will provide assessment, programming and consulting to Catholic professionals, Catholic clergy and Catholic administrators and ministers as well as families they serve. We track outcomes across multiple dimensions - clinical effectiveness, faith integration, family satisfaction, professional fulfillment, and pastoral collaboration.
This isn't just service provision - it's research that could transform how the Catholic Church approaches family support. Currently, most dioceses operate with informal referral networks that depend on personal connections. Our research aims to create replicable systems that any diocese could implement.
The Bridging the Gap research addresses three critical questions: How do we systematically identify and verify Catholic professionals committed to faith-integrated practice? What coordination systems best connect families with appropriate professionals? How do we measure success in ways that account for both clinical outcomes and spiritual formation?
Your support funds the data collection systems, professional coordination services, and outcome analysis that will provide evidence-based answers to these questions. We're not just helping individual families - we're pioneering approaches that could benefit Catholic communities nationwide.
Through careful research documentation, we'll create a model that other dioceses can adapt for their communities. Your investment in Bridging the Gap research could ultimately help Catholic families across the country access professional services that honor their faith.
Together, we're building bridges between Catholic families in need and Catholic professionals called to serve, creating systematic solutions that strengthen both individual families and the broader Catholic community through evidence-based approaches to faith-integrated care coordination.
