Greetings!

I am very proud to support literacy through by being on the board of directors for Readers to Leaders (R2L)  Readers 2 Leaders is committed to ensuring that all students have equitable opportunities to thrive as both readers and leaders. With your help, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of the children we serve.

Literacy Launches a Virtuous Cycle and Big Positive Ripples

Most of us take our level of literacy for granted and don't even think about how it impacts our emotional and mental wellbeing.  This was especially true at a young age when during our formal education years.  As we get older it impacts our employability and ultimately the impact we make on society.

Readers 2 Leaders also works with adult learners through their Family Reading Program.  A recent graduate from just the first level of that program is not only reading with her children, Sammie is also helping kindergartners at her local school with their letters and sounds.

This is a virtuous cycle and you can be a part of it with your donation!

Readers 2 Leaders Plans for More Positive Ripples: 

Readers 2 Leaders aims to achieve the following during the 2025-26 academic year and summer:

• Serve 1,600 students during the school year and summer;

• Serve 400 adults through literacy coaching and training programs;

• 85 percent of students will participate in 80 percent of sessions for 120 minutes of instruction per week; 

• 90 percent of students will make measurable growth in key early literacy skills as measured by an externally validated assessment;

• 89 percent of children will grow or maintain their reading skills during the summer
