When we started Humane Tomorrow 28 years ago, it was with a simple idea: that we could solve the problems we face in animal welfare and in the meantime, give animals the second chances they deserve. Since then, I’ve watched an incredible community of volunteers, adopters, fosters, and supporters come together to save thousands of lives. I’ve seen scared, broken animals become beloved family members because of people who chose to care. 

But we don’t just rescue animals; we work to solve the problems that put them at risk in the first place. Our Catalyst Fund provides free spay/neuter to prevent unwanted litters. Flower’s Fund provides lifesaving medical care for families and pets in need. Our advocates promote animal-friendly legislation. And HTNextGen empowers young people to become the next generation of animal advocates. These programs tackle the root causes of animal suffering, creating lasting change for both pets and people.

That’s what Humane Tomorrow is all about. On North Texas Giving Day, I’m asking you to join us once again. Every gift—big or small—helps us keep saying “yes” to the animals who need us most. Together, we can continue building the kind of tomorrow they deserve.
