For our family, that place is Shakespeare Dallas.

Amanda started her theater career at Shakespeare Dallas in 2005. Nearly two decades later, it’s still her artistic home. Michael started out as the plus-one at opening nights, then became a tech widow, a volunteer, and eventually a board member.

And our two beautiful kiddos who have grown up around Shakespeare Dallas now spend many nights and weekends helping out at the park, too.

What we’ve watched over all those years is so much bigger than the shows themselves. We’ve watched artists build careers. Students discover that their voices matter. Families make summer traditions. Young people find their way onto a stage, backstage, or into a creative career. We’ve watched a park become a gathering place for our community, year after year.
