Hi, my name is Adrian Godinez, and I am proud to support Shakespeare Dallas on North Texas Giving Day. 

I am fortunate to be involved with this great nonprofit for the last nine years, first as a professional actor and now as a Board member.

I've been able to bring Shakespeare's words to life on stage. I've been able to be part of an amazing community that enriches and teaches. I love being a part of a summer tradition for so many friends and families, where they can come to enjoy the comedies, tragedies and historical free-for-alls under the summer sky. This is a second home for me and I hope you will help me support it so that it can be a second home to so many others.

There are a lot of reasons why this organization means so much to me. So here’s why I give:

We are the true people’s theatre. Our Shakespeare in the Park performances bring Shakespeare to thousands of community members each year – and are always modern, relatable, and accessible. Our casual park setting ensures everyone feels welcome.

Shakespeare Dallas provides thousands of free tickets to community groups, park and recreation centers, and schools each year.

We hire dozens of local artists and technicians, providing jobs for the arts sector and helping with arts recovery.

As a partner for the All-Access Youth Pass, we have introduced nearly 1500 new residents to Shakespeare during the summers. The city’s program gave teens and their families free access to local cultural attractions and events across Dallas.
