To energize community giving and celebrate the spirit of the Dallas Arts District, we present “ Dunk for the District,” a fun, high-visibility dunk tank fundraiser held at Sammons Park. This engaging, family-friendly event invites patrons, artists, and community leaders to “take the plunge” in support of arts and culture across the District. 

This North Texas Giving Day, we’re taking fundraising to new (soggy) heights with Dunk for the District—a dunk tank fundraiser supporting free public programming and arts access for all. Come dunk your favorite arts leaders—and help keep our cultural community thriving.

For each of the institutions represented by the "dunkees" they will get a chance to win a donation of their own.

1st place, and 2nd place winners will all receive a donation in their name for North Texas Giving Day. 

Winners are calculated by the amount of throws for each org counted.

  • BE SURE in the dedication of your donation to note which institution you are throwing for!

Is it free? Yes—open to the public. Donations encouraged.

What should I bring? Sunscreen, a hat, and your team spirit.

Accessibility Sammons Park is wheelchair accessible.

Weather Plan Light rain won’t stop the fun; severe weather will shift timing or move activities under cover.

Line‑up of “dunkees” and on‑site activations will be announced soon.
