WHY WE SAID YES: Parvo Puppy Rescue Spotlight

When we were asked to take in a dumped litter of four puppies found to be diagnosed with Parvo after losing one of them, we knew the decision would be tough.Parvo is dangerous, highly contagious, and very expensive to treat. Many rescues can’t take parvo puppies because treatment requires round-the-clock care, strict isolation, and a $6,000 vet bill. But these babies needed help. They needed someone to say, “We won’t give up on you.”And so — Fort Worth Abandoned Animal Alliance said yes.We fought for all the puppies… this brutal virus claimed two of them, but two little fighters survived. Winnifred and Thackery. These two survivors pushed through vomiting, dehydration, weakness, and long days in isolation. They survived because of diligent medical care and the support of people like YOU who believe in giving sick puppies a real chance.Today, they are thriving, playful, silly, tail-wagging bundles of joy — healthy enough to leave medical isolation and ready for the next chapter of their lives. These two parvo survivors now urgently need a foster or adopter. They’ve already fought so hard. They deserve a soft bed, a safe home, and someone to love them through the rest of their journey.Saying yes wasn’t easy. It was expensive, emotional, and risky. But it was right.Because every dog deserves a chance — even when their medical needs may seem overwhelming. If you believe in standing up for the dogs who need us most…If you believe that sick puppies deserve hope, not abandonment…

In the season of giving we are asking the community to help us meet our goal to continue to help abandoned, abused and neglected pets in our local community.  We were unfortunately were not able to participate in full capacity for North Texas Giving Day but we are back and in full swing!  We are moving forward in helping the underdogs (and cats) in DFW and surrounding.  We specifically only focus on our direct community, until there is not a need here, we cannot expand our efforts outside of our local area.

Through the updates in this campaign you will see just a few of the lives we have recently been fortunate to help.  We can only do this with the help of you, our community.  We do not receive grants nor do we have deep pockets with large donors.  We operate from donations of every day community members.

We give every pet the best opportunity for a new life with the best medical care possible, temporary loving homes and a very precise adoption process.
