Bernadette came into our program practically hairless with mange. She had a mess of a dew claw, was heartworm positive, and was unspayed. She appeared to have many puppies and weighed only 53 pounds, which is light for a pyr. Most of her teeth are missing or broken. All signs of a rough life.
We have worked really hard to get her digestive system healthy so that she grow hair and put on weight. She eats a meal the consistency of oatmeal because of her teeth.
She was recently spayed and had that nasty dew claw removed. Next up will be her heart worm treatment.
She has the sweetest demeanor, love to sit for treats, go for walks, and must sit on my lap to begin and end each day.
The is our largest fundraiser of the year and I will match donations up to my goal on this page. We do have another generous matching donation for Humane Tomorrow, so your donation goes even farther this year.
Many thanks for your support. Tony and I have been fostering dogs for Humane Tomorrow for over 20 years. While I’ve stopped counting them, each has left a mark on hearts and home.
