North Texas Giving Day is right around the corner—coming up on September 18th—but Early Giving is already open! 🎉 

I’m raising funds to support To Be Like Me and our mission to build kinder, more empathetic, and more compassionate communities through disability awareness education.

All three of my kids have been through this program as Richardson elementary school students.

Savannah recently completed her Girl Scout Gold Award with this amazing organization, and I believed in the mission so much that I joined their Board of Directors this year!

Over the past year, To Be Like Me reached more than 7,000 people in North Texas through both in-person and online programs. We also opened our own dedicated space at Greenwood Hills Learning Center in Richardson! If you are not currently familiar with our program, this video is a great way to learn more!

In 2025-2026, our big goal is to expand our programming beyond elementary school to reach middle school, high school, college, graduate, and medical students. We are also working with service-based businesses so they can better support clients, collaborate effectively, and create inclusive, accessible environments for all.

Our North Texas Giving Day goal is $70,000—and thanks to an anonymous donor, the first $35,000 will be matched dollar for dollar!
