$5,000 goal

In 2024, the Ken Hill Health Center (Ruth's Place), provided care for 651 Hood County residents. We had 2,100 patient appointments, 1,219 of which were provided by volunteer doctors! We employ one part-time Nurse Practitioner who had 881 patient appointments alone!

We spend about $6,000 every month to ensure our patients receive the labs, imaging, and testing needed to properly diagnose and treat them. Your Hood County neighbors deserve access to health care, and we are so happy to ensure it is high quality, continuous care, not just a diagnosis with no hope of future help.

The average cost of an appointment with a volunteer provider is $53.00. If a patient sees our paid, part-time Nurse Practitioner, the cost increases to $100. Please consider making a monthly donation, just $8 per month could cover the costs of one NP visit!

50% of our patients earn between $10,000 - $29,000 per year. This statistic tells us that potentially, our patients are working to support themselves in positions that do not offer health insurance. Think about the server at your favorite restaurant, the employees that take care of your lawn, or the barista that hands you your daily fuel with a smile. We make sure their health is a priority before it becomes an emergency!

We serve our patients with dignity and respect. We consider their nonmedical determinants of health and connect patients to resources to improve their quality of life. Our goal is to continually expand our services to foster self-sufficiency.

Thank you for doing your part to KEEP HOOD COUNTY HEALTHY!
