Support TLP HQ and the People Behind the Dogs

For North Texas Giving Day, I’m focusing on something I’m personally really passionate about - investing in our facility and the people who care for our dogs.

TLP has always been powered by incredible volunteers who give their time, talent and hearts to this mission. We simply could not do this without them.

But having HQ has also allowed us to build a small paid staff that provides consistent, daily care for the dogs under our roof and supports the volunteers who help care for them.

They feed, clean, train, enrich and love our dogs. They get to know them - their personalities, behaviors, routines and needs. They also help train and guide our volunteers, answer questions, provide consistency and make sure everyone has the information and support they need to safely work with our dogs.

Our staff and volunteers work together and that’s what makes HQ work.

Operating expenses may not be the exciting thing to fund, but knowledgeable, dependable people showing up every day allows us to keep up to 8 dogs under our own roof and out of boarding facilities while providing the level of care they deserve. And I believe strongly that good animal welfare means investing in people, too.
