It All Started with a Birthday Party!

It all started with a birthday party…

Back in 2015, we were invited to help at Everyone’s Birthday Party during a Royal Family Kids Camp. From that one night of serving, we found ourselves at camp just weeks later, and that’s where our story with Our Father’s Children truly began. One party was all it took to show us the difference a celebration can make.

Every June since, we’ve had the privilege of hosting Everyone’s Birthday Party. It takes a lot of work and the generosity of our church family, friends, and community to make it happen. Together, we get to throw an unforgettable party for kids who might not always have the chance to celebrate their birthdays. Not all, but some children in foster care never get that special day, and that’s why this means so much to us.

What began as one birthday party has grown into years of celebrating and serving side by side. Each member of our family has gotten their start at a birthday party, and together we’ve shared so many memories knowing these kids are getting not just a fun day, but a week at camp where they feel seen, valued, and loved.

This year, the Geary family has set a goal to raise $500 for North Texas Giving Day in support of Our Father’s Children. Every dollar helps fund camps and retreats for kids connected to the foster care system.
