Jennifer's RMHD NTXGD Fundraiser

For the last several years, I have had the pleasure and honor of serving on the Board of Directors for the Ronald McDonald House Dallas (RMHD). I have witnessed the incredible impact that the House has on families.

RMHD is the only organization that provides a welcoming, safe home-away-from-home for families who travel and need a place to stay while their children receive treatment at any Dallas-area hospital. RMHD serves three meals each day, provides shuttle transportation to and from local hospitals, and offers activities and services to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Families are also able to connect with caring volunteers, other families, and our extraordinary executive team and staff.

With approximately 78,000 square feet, the House offers 77 private bedrooms, six extended-stay suites, and six transplant apartments. Hundreds of volunteers support RMHD's annual operations and fundraising activities by serving families at the House, preparing meals, and hosting organized activities. In fact, planning is underway for a significant expansion of RMHD because we are having to turn away families due to capacity limitations.

They alleviate the worry and expense of finding a close, comfortable, and affordable place for a family to stay while their child receives the medical care they need. That can make a world of difference to a child bravely battling an illness or recovering from a serious injury. 

It costs RMHD $155 to house a family per night - a cost largely covered by individual and corporate donors, community organizations, and special events. No family is ever asked to pay for their stay.

Our goal for North Texas Giving Day 2025 is $100,000!  Every dollar counts so please consider donating to Ronald McDonald House Dallas during this fundraiser!  

I am also pleased that my company, AMN Healthcare and another anonymous donor have pledged to match up to $18,000.  In addition, I will personally also match any donation made directly to my fundraising page up to $2000.
