Let me tell you about an amazing organization.  This is my 7th year volunteering, and 5th year on the Board, of Hendrick Scholarship Foundation.  It has been a rewarding and  humbling experience helping these deserving, underserved students navigate the challenges of college.  These mostly 1st generation in college students have all faced significant challenges in their young lives.  With both financial and mentoring support from Hendrick during each of their college semesters, you can see them grow from an unsure young person into a confident and engaging graduate. The pride in their eyes, and their family's, when they walk across the stage to get their Bachelor's diploma is something to behold.  We currently have 108 students in our program - my hope is that we can serve more of these resilient students in the years to come.  See below for some student quotes and videos.

The Hendrick Scholarship Foundation is celebrating it's 35th year serving the students of Plano.  Please consider donating to during this year's North Texas Giving Day.  You will be helping our Hendrick scholars achieve their goal of earning a college degree.

Every little bit helps - Thank you for your support!

Student quotes:

  • Hendrick has helped me immensely throughout my college journey. Without them, college would have been a struggle; but their workshops, caring mentors, and financial support have made this journey possible, allowing my dreams to come true—of graduating not only early, but from my dream university. - D’Angelo E. – Business, SMU
  • As I reflect on my college journey, I want to express my deepest gratitude to the Hendricks Foundation for its incredible support not just financially, but also mentally and emotionally. The resources, the check-ins, the academic reviews, and meetings were all invaluable. Even during semesters when I felt like I was falling short, my coach and advisors never let that define me as a student. – Isabella M. – UT Austin – Pre-Med
