Ava's Catch Up & Read Fundraiser!

Catch Up & Read is a nonprofit organization that supports children and teachers in underserved communities in the DFW area by equipping them with learning resources to improve literacy and break the cycle of generational poverty. Serving children in first through third grade, Catch Up & Read provides specialized, small-group style reading classes for students and thoughtful teacher instruction to help children reach grade-level reading benchmarks, fostering a proficiency for reading from a young age. I have interned and volunteered with Catch Up & Read for the past two years, and I have seen firsthand how much of an impact Catch Up & Read makes on so many children's lives. I love seeing how excited and proud the students are of their accomplishments in reading, and as someone with my own love for reading, it is so amazing to see children in underprivileged settings get to experience it for themselves and have access to brighter futures through education!
