I'm winding down my last term (per the bylaws) on the board of directors for The Welman Project this year.  In 2026, a new board president will take the reins and continue to help guide this outstanding organization through substantial growth.  

I will continue as a volunteer and friend, but board service is waning.  So, before I go, I'm hoping to raise a few dollars to help continue the mission.

There are a lot of exciting announcements coming from The Welman Project soon as the organization to continues to grow.  A few that are still in planning and thus not being announced just yet (stay tuned) and few below.

North Texas Giving Day 2025, donate August 28, 2025, through September 18, 2025.

“Make a Racket” at Third Thursday, September 18, 2025. 

• LET's MAKE A RACKET!  A creative reuse and local artist fundraiser for The Welman Project!  The Welman Project is making a special appearance at Third Thursday, a free community art crawl in the Near Southside.  Nine local artist will "make a racket" by converting a vintage tennis racket into an education-inspired art installation, located through the Near Southside at various Third Thursday venues.  Bring a friend to check out all nine installations and take home your favorite with proceeds benefitting The Welman Project's mission to fill a classroom, not a landfill!

Fork It Over Supper Club, Wednesday, September 24, 2025, 6:00 - 9:30 PM

• Stillwater Meadow Venue (9842 E. Bankhead Highway, Aledo, TX 76008)
• Stillwater Meadow, Chef Cody Hickman of 360 Catering and Chef Kevin Martinez of Tokyo Cafe are delighted to present Fork It Over Supper Club: a curated four-course dinner benefiting The Welman Project. 
• Your ticket includes passed hors d'oeuvres, first course, entree and dessert.  Water and tea will be provided.  A pairing list will be shared and guests are encouraged to bring a wine selection of the choice (limit one bottle per guest)!
• Limited seating!  Purchase your tickets early and tell a friend.
• Doors will open at 6:00 PM, Dinner Begins at 7:00 PM.  Business Casual
