Support Literacy - Reading Partners North Texas

Will you join me in supporting Reading Partners for North Texas Giving Day? We’re helping young people learn to read so that they can read to learn. 

For the past 2 years, I have had the honor of serving on the Board of Reading Partners North Texas, an organization that places community volunteers in systematically disadvantaged schools in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex to help elementary students master basic reading skills and discover the joy and power of learning. 

I remember how important it was to me as a young person to have adults who cared about me and supported my learning, and I remember how good it felt to grow in my confidence as a learner and a leader. I’ve also seen my own children’s faces light up as they’ve learned to read in recent months. Let’s do this for more children in our communities!
