Power Our Programs, Empower Our Students
At For Oak Cliff, elite and exclusive programming means every child has the chance to explore their passions, build new skills, and thrive in a safe, culturally relevant environment. With an average cost of $150 per student—covering meals, supplies, staff, and new transportation options like bus passes and vans—our commitment is to ensure no student is left out and every student is deeply served.
Chronic absenteeism is a major challenge: it is defined as missing at least 10% of school days, or about 18 days in a school year. In Texas, school funding directly depends on student attendance. In 2021–2022, the national chronic absenteeism average was 28%. In Dallas ISD and across Texas, about 1 in 5 students is categorized as chronically absent. In 2021–22 alone, Superblock schools (ZIP code 75216) missed out on $5.4 million in Tier 1 funding due to absences.

Additional tutoring, enrichment, and more
Our programming is tailored for personalized support, skill-building, leadership, and community connection, reflecting For Oak Cliff’s dedication to transforming lives through education, empowerment, and social capital building. Your support is not just a gift—it’s an investment in the future, helping break down barriers like transportation and expand access to aspirational yet accessible experiences. Together, we uplift Oak Cliff, create opportunity, confront barriers like absenteeism, and empower students and families for long-term success.
