🏃‍♂️ Evan's Run Club '26 - Let's Run it Back, Again! 🏃‍♂️

Hey everyone! My name is Ian Moudy. I'm 22 years old from Dallas, Texas. I am currently a Senior at the University of Texas. Two years ago, my older brother, Evan (25), was diagnosed with a very rare (~1300 cases in the US) inherited retina disease caused by a mutation in the CRB1 gene. This disease is progressive and degenerative. There is currently no treatment and advancement in medical science is the only hope for a cure . 

I've run a few half and full marathons in honor of Evan to raise money for vision research. I've got my running shoes laced up once again and am ready to run it back! 👟

This year, I'm running again in honor of my brother and will be donating all of the proceeds to the Retina Foundation of the Southwest, an organization that has been a great source of hope and support to our family since Evan's diagnosis.

To make every mile count, I've set a fundraising goal of $25,000 this year.

While there is currently no cure or clinical trial for Evan's exact condition, we are hopeful that research for other retinal diseases may one day lead to the breakthrough that will help him, too. That hope exists because of the groundbreaking research conducted by the Retina Foundation! 

We are also bringing back Evan's Run Club shirts. As with monetary donations, all proceeds from shirt sales will go directly to the Retina Foundation of the Southwest. Wearing a shirt not only supports the cause, but also helps raise awareness—it would be amazing to see a sea of them on race day! 💙
