Hello friends! I'm Krissy. I am a volunteer with the Donkey and Equine Rescue in Celina, Texas. We're a small outfit with big hearts. We raise money to rescue slaughter-bound donkeys and horses from the horrific 'death pipeline' and find them loving, forever homes. We have about 100+ head right now. I am specifically raising funds to get several of our precious rescues help with their feet. Sadly, most of those we rescue are sick, abused, injured and have suffered years of neglect. All equines need farrier (foot) care. And it's not even that expensive! But for whatever reason, previous owners didn't ensure these precious souls got the care they need. See the pictures? This is Pearl (white) and Jenny (brown), just a few of our rescues with severe foot neglect. Years of overgrowth and cracking of hooves causes debilitating pain. You can see in THIS VIDEO that Pearl is crippled with pain due to loss of structure and support. She can barely walk. One of her feet has her footbones on the ground. Will you help me? We have someone who will match funds up to $1000. Please, can you give towards the care of them and our others? I promise all the funds - 100% of them - will go to farrier care and savings for surgery to at least ease their pain.
