Carson’s Village and My Inspiration

For this year’s North Texas Giving Day, I am supporting Carson's Village in honor of my mother, Mildred Gain, who we suddenly lost 4 years ago after she was diagnosed late with stage 4 cancer. I will forever be thankful for my “village” of family, friends, and co-workers that have supported me to this day as I continue to heal and grieve from our loss.

Similarly, through Carson’s Village, families around the country can receive the help they need in the darkest times - after a loss. With the support of a dedicated Advocate, families are supported after a loss through tailored resources and support services. 

I have seen firsthand how Carson’s Village has stepped in at a moment’s notice to support families at the very moment they experience loss as well as when they begin their individual and family journey to heal and process their grief.
