Dogslife was founded in 2018 after our beloved dog, Maverick, was diagnosed with cancer.
My husband, Matt, and I welcomed Maverick into our family just one week after we were married. He was more than a pet, he was family. When work took us to London, we navigated every obstacle to bring him with us because leaving him behind was never an option.
When Maverick was diagnosed with cancer, we were devastated. As we searched for answers, we learned that canine cancer is incredibly common, affecting nearly 50% of dogs by age ten. We also learned that treatment can be highly effective, but often comes at a cost of $4,000 to $10,000 or more.
What impacted us most was realizing that many dogs never receive life-saving treatment because their families simply cannot afford it.
Thankfully, we were able to provide Maverick with the care he needed, and he became a cancer survivor. Every extra day we shared with him felt like a gift. The experience left us deeply grateful and determined to help others facing the same challenge.
That's why Dogslife was created.
Our mission is to help families with financial challenges afford critical cancer treatment for their beloved dogs. No family should have to choose between their finances and giving their best friend a chance to live.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit funded primarily through donations, every dollar goes toward furthering Dogslife's mission.
Your donation can provide hope, healing, and precious extra years together. Please help us give more dogs a fighting chance.
