Hendrick Scholar for NTX Giving Day 2026!

Hi my name is Neybia Hernandez :)

I became a Hendrick Scholar in 2024.

I attend The University of Texas at Austin and am majoring in Economics, with minors in Statistics and Data Science and Public Policy.

After I graduate, I plan to attend law school and pursue a career in regulatory and public policy law, with the goal of working at the intersection of corporations, nonprofits, government, and public-interest issues.

HSF has made a difference in my life by giving me more than financial support. It has given me an opportunity and a foundation to build on. As a Hendrick Scholar, I have been able to pursue my education at UT Austin while continuing to dream beyond my undergraduate degree. Hendrick has become a launchpad for the bigger goals I have for myself, from earning my degree to attending law school and building a career where I can use what I learn to create meaningful change. The support I have received has reminded me that investing in a student’s education is also investing in everything that student hopes to accomplish afterward.
