Our mission at Born Strong Foundation is clear: create a safer, stronger community through martial arts and self defense education. Our focus on low income and underprivileged youth provides a safe space for these children to grow, learn and enhance their lives with skillsets that inspire de-escalation, violence prevention and compassion. Through unity and community, we serve East and South Dallas youth at Dallas Recreation Centers, removing barriers to access.
Some of our students thanking State Fair of Texas for awarding Born Strong Foundation a $5,000 Grant in Summer 2025.
Our educational and structured programs not only provide a physical fitness outlet, that builds coordination, speed, agility, and strength, but also develops character, compassion and awareness in our unpredictable and ever changing world. Students learn real world self defense, as well as the traditional disciplines that influence it. Our Mental Strength Training assignments focus on character building and understanding.
We are fundraising to continue to grow our Scholarship fund to provide financial assistance and free training to those families in need. We aim to serve at least 35% of our student body with these services, and have been able to achieve this in our first year. With your help, we can increase this percentage and serve more Dallas youth in need. We also provide free uniforms and belt promotions to ALL students, so your donations ensure that every student has the proper uniform to train in and can celebrate each milestone of their journey.
Another important aspect of our mission, is our Youth Leadership Volunteer program. This program is for youth martial artists that want to give back to their community, through fundraising, community service, volunteer work, and leading by example. Intermediate or higher ranked youth martial artists between the ages of 10 and 17 are welcome to apply to be part of the program. All volunteer hours are counted and collected for volunteers to use on future applications, and their participation fuels our mission daily, as they advocate and continue to raise funds for the cause.

Thank you for taking the time to read about our mission and the work we do in the community. With your help, we can continue to serve our community in charity, love and unity. We are Born Strong!
