Our Mission

The Texas 1000 Project is on a bold mission to create 1,000 sustainable small businesses across Texas by 2028. We focus on underestimated and underserved entrepreneurs — particularly those from low-to-moderate income (LMI) communities — equipping them with the structure, training, and mentorship needed to thrive.

Entrepreneurship is more than business ownership — it’s a pathway to economic mobility, job creation, and generational wealth.

Our Impact in North Texas

In just the past 24 months, thanks to generous community support, we’ve:

• Launched 16 new small businesses through our LLC Grant Program.

• Trained 341 entrepreneurs with hands-on classes in business planning, compliance, and capital readiness.

• Hosted pitch competitions and summits connecting founders to bankers, mentors, and investors.

• Built strong partnerships with banks, CRA teams, and economic development organizations that are opening doors for our founders.

Each entrepreneur we serve represents more than a new business — it represents a family gaining stability, a community gaining resources, and a city gaining new jobs.

• 80% of minority-owned businesses fail within the first 18 months — not because of lack of vision, but because of lack of access.

• Many aspiring entrepreneurs can’t afford even the basics: legal formation, business credit setup, or technical training.
