Community Meals at Oak Lawn UMC
Every week, our doors open wide for Community Meals, offering more than just food—we offer belonging.
-
When we serve:
Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
The 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month
That’s multiple times each week where neighbors know they’ll find a hot meal, a safe space, and a community that welcomes them just as they are.
Who makes it possible:Our faithful network of volunteers—joined by friends from other churches across Dallas—show up to cook, serve, and share life together around the table.
Why it matters:A meal is never just a plate of food. For our unsheltered and food-insecure neighbors, it is nourishment, dignity, and a reminder that they are not forgotten. Sitting down together, people share stories, laughter, even tears—and find strength for the journey ahead.
Your generosity ensures that these meals continue week after week. With your support, Oak Lawn UMC remains a place where hunger meets hospitality, and where community is built one table at a time.
