NTX Giving for Lake Pointe

North Texas Giving Day is HERE! 

Please join me in raising needed funds for Lake Pointe Resource Center and Lake Pointe Academy.  At Lake Pointe Resource Center, we provide essential specialized and intensive therapy to children diagnosed with Autism, and their families.  Funds will help us with specialized play equipment for boosting motor and coordination skills. We have OT's that come to our center and partner with our ABA therapists, but are desperately in need of sensory gym equipment to help our children. We accept insurances are the only Medicaid certified ABA center within a 30 mile radius of Hood County. This brings many families who are financially disadvantaged and will greatly benefit from our fundraising efforts.

At Lake Pointe Academy, we serve all children with any learning difference and provide a comprehensive and specialized school program that incorporates soft skills, life skills, and transition planning. The school is in need of technology, transportation, and outdoor play equipment. 

Both entities began in 2012 and we have served several hundred families of special needs children with therapy and specialized therapeutic education services. Typically, families have to find these services outside of our area. This limits access to medically needed and developmentally appropriate services that have not been available in our rural area. Our over arching Mission is to provide evidence based strategies to help children with neurodevelopmental challenges through services that are accessible within our community. 

Your help is needed to keep our programs funded and growing with therapy equipment that provides children opportunities not otherwise available.
