47 New Donors to Fight #47!

We have been busy fighting for clean air and environmental justice for communities across Dallas and Fort Worth, despite ongoing attacks from the Federal government on environmental protections. We are so grateful for our community of fighters in North Texas who are relentless in seeking creative policy solutions to grassroots problems in our backyard. 

Last year, DAR was awarded a $500,000 Environmental Protection Agency Environmental Justice grant to enhance and expand our air monitor network through SharedAirDFW. All compliance and contractual documents were completed in December 2024, and work was meant to start in January 2025.

However, our project is currently one of the many targets of the Trump Administration's attacks on environmental justice and public health grant programs. Because of this, our equipment is behind on upgrades, staff that was meant to work on this project are being impacted, and we are dealing with a lot of uncertainty about the future viability of the project.
