Meet Brighty 🫏💔

Brighty is a gentle, middle-aged donkey with a heart of gold. In his younger days, he proudly guarded his pasture, protecting newborn foals from coyotes. But today, the tables have turned; Brighty is the one who needs protection.

Brighty suffers from a painful bone condition that causes his front hooves to buckle over. Despite regular farrier care, his condition has progressed to the point where every step is excruciating. He often has to lie down for long stretches just to get relief from the pain. Without surgical intervention, Brighty faces an early and heartbreaking end.

We refuse to give up on him. Brighty deserves the chance to walk comfortably again, to live the peaceful life he’s earned. That’s why we’re raising $10,000 to transport him to the world-class veterinarians at Texas A&M in College Station, TX, where he can be fully evaluated and receive the corrective treatment he desperately needs.
