KLB strives to educate the community and encourage each cititzen to have a greater responsibility for their environment. This happens through programs like city-wide clean ups, tree plantings, beautification projects, water way cleanups, adopt-a-spots, specialized classes including the Garden Secrets classes, school lectures and hands-on engagements at community events, and so much more. Y'all, I have been involved in KLB for many years. It's an organization that I firmly believe does everything they can to help fulfill their mission, and I believe deserves your support.

My family grew up in KLB. The boys were in elementary school when we first got involved with the organization. KLB helped grow them into environmentally responsible young men. For years, Isaac would go with me super early in the mornings to help set up the meeting area for the Spring Clean Up and Trinity Trash Bash events. He'd help me hand out supplies and gather them back in when the participants came back from cleaning their assigned spaces. Meanwhile, Steve would have a team of super people cleaning for the Lewisville Texan Journal group in more dangerous creekbeds that collect all the trash that flows downstream. Sometimes Seth would be with him, and other times Seth would be with his LHS NJROTC group doing a great job cleaning up around LISDOLA or wherever else that group was needed. At the end of it, we'd gather back at the house and there'd be stories to share and naps to be had.

There are so many more stories that I could share. But what I really want you to know, is that it's not just about the environmentalism, which is KLB's mission, but what KLB truly is for Lewisville is greater than it's mission. KLB is undoubtedly a responsible citizen and  community builder. Lewisville is a MUCH better place with KLB.
