Conner McMains' FMCO Fundraiser

Friends of Flower Mound Community Orchestra,

As you know, North Texas Giving Day 2025 is here! As a person who grew up elsewhere, it warms my heart every year to see the astounding generosity that truly sets North Texas apart from other areas. In 2024, this program raised over $70 million in support of approximately 3,200 nonprofit organizations - of which your FMCO is proudly one!

What you may or may not know is that grants are becoming increasingly harder to get and, when they are approved, often end up lower in amounts. The FMCO yearly budget relies on a mixture of donations and grants to fund the seasons of both the Symphony and the Philharmonic, and so, on behalf of both ensembles and the organization, I am asking you to consider a generous gift to help sustain the work of your FMCO in our community.

As the new Music Director & Conductor of the Symphony, I am actively working to increase our level of community engagement over the course of this and future seasons, and I am thrilled at some of the exciting things we have to come, including:

    ♪  Collaborations with local school art students;

    ♪  A new Concerto & Aria Competition featuring young musicians from Flower Mound;

    ♪  New venue options for “run-out” concerts;

    ♪  Partnerships with and performances at local churches and assisted living facilities;

    ♪  And much, much more!

Your support makes all of this possible and even allows us to plan further out and with broader reach, and any amount that you are able to give is graciously appreciated.
