The GEMS Camp is a non-profit dedicated to closing the gender and racial gap in STEM studies and careers. GEMS provides educational and leadership development programs for underrepresented and underserved teen girls interested in STEM.
I have volunteered with The GEMS Camp for the past four years, most recently as a member of the Board of Directors since January 2022. As a woman in STEM myself, I am extremely passionate about The GEMS Camp's mission to increase the percentage of minority women earning STEM degrees in order to improve gender, racial and socioeconomic diversity, equity and inclusion in the U.S. STEM workforce.
