Why I'm fundraising

As a first-generation college graduate myself, I know how transformative access to education, guidance, and opportunity can be. It's one of the reasons I'm incredibly proud to serve as Vice President of Volar.

This North Texas Giving Day, I've set a personal goal of raising $1,000 to help Volar continue supporting first-generation students in our community as they navigate their journey to and through college.

I'm grateful for any amount you can give, and even more grateful that you're helping support a mission that means so much to me.

Why Volar? 

First-gen and low-income students deserve more than 38 minutes of college advising. At Volar, they get 10+ hours of personalized guidance just their senior year. We continue supporting students through college, checking in to ensure they adjust well and are set up for success.

Volar empowers students with an innovative hybrid advising model. By combining virtual, individualized support with in-person opportunities, we extend our reach far beyond zip codes and high school campuses

Our programs also includes workshops covering a wide range of topics, from navigating financial aid options to selecting the right institutions. Workshops are open to ALL students and families in the DFW area, allowing us to support students beyond our cohort
