Shayla's Dangernoodle Fundraiser

Well this changed fast! This was a regular fundraising page...until foster dog Shayla got bitten by a danger noodle in the yard yesterday! Copperheads being VERY potent, her poor face swelled up and was so painful she was screaming when I touched it. Thanks to Humane Tomorrow's Mercy Fund, we have the funds to be able to take a dog like this to the ER immediately and say "yes, give her the antivenom and hold her all day until we know she is out of danger."

There is a bright side to this story...someone fell in love with this sweet girl, puffy face and all, while they were at the ER with their own dog. So Shayla may have the nope rope to thank for finally finding her a home! 

In the meantime...her bill at the ER was $2200, and that's after around $750 already spent to treat her for heartworms. She's been quite the expensive dog...but 100% worth it. A dog literally living in a trash pile being cared for by meth heads is now happy, healthy, and thriving.
