FUR’s North Texas Giving Day 2025 Fundraiser

FUR was built out of the destruction of the 2015 Christmas Tornado that hit North Texas. Our home sustained over $50,000 worth of damage but we returned home much faster than our neighbors because our home was still structurally sound. We learned that people could lose everything but if their pets were also displaced, none of that stuff mattered. We spent the next 7 months rescuing and reuniting our neighbors' lost pets. A few months later, Hurricane Harvey hit Houston and we spent 2 months reuniting lost pets there. We deployed to every major subsequent disaster and learned that only half of the pets we were rescuing had a family looking for them.

This is when we discovered the homeless pets truly needed our help and we began the rescue. We now rescue homeless pets from shelters, stray dogs, and we still respod to emergency/disaster animal related needs. 

Dogs are so incredibly resilient and they inspire us every single day! We are truly honored and blessed to be able to help these amazing critters get the second chance they desperately deserve.
