Louis Karahalios - Sci Tech Discovery Center

I have recently joined the BOD of Sci-Tech and look forward to helping the organization grow.  I bring knowledge and experience from a previous education based non-profit organization.  My son enjoys Sci-Tech and loves learning, which guided me to want to become more involved in Sci-Tech.  I look forward to enhancing the Sci-Tech experience and expending the current reach of the discovery center.  

With the generous support of our partners we bring innovative learning to kids in North Texas to build their STEM skills and confidence and spark their interest in pursuing STEM careers. Research shows that students who envision a career in a STEM field at age 13 are two to three times more likely to earn college degrees in STEM, so we seek to inspire kids while they are in elementary and middle school. 

Since STEM jobs pay up to 40% more than non-STEM jobs, the spark that Sci-Tech provides helps to transform our participants’ lives by addressing career inspiration for their future economic stability.
