The Human Experience, as told by the Stolen Shakespeare Guild.
The Stolen Shakespeare Guild is not just a theater. For 17 years, they’ve used their stage to explore the beauty, tragedy, and nuance of the human experience. In that time, they have cultivated a space where artists, patrons, and community are held in reverence, and they remain the only classical theater company in Ft. Worth.
To be counted as an SSG acting ensemble member, a small group of artists who have performed in at least 10 of their productions (14 and counting!), has been a highlight of my career. In the last 8 years, I have had the incredible experience of bringing so many wonderful characters to life with SSG. Demetrius in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Mr. Bingley in Pride and Prejudice, Laertes in Hamlet, and Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, just to name a select few. Each role has been an absolute dream, as have the lifelong friendships that I have made along the way.
Sadly, at the end of December, the Fort Worth Community Arts Center will cease operations, and SSG's performance home at the Sanders Theater will no longer be available. This will happen right in the middle of their 2024-2025 season. They need our help to finish raising the funds for their new space and to ensure that their 17 years of commitment to enriching artistry and the community remains unruptured.
It would mean the world to me if you donated to this cause.
To err is Human, to Donate is Divine!
