As a staff member at Bachman Lake Together, I’ve had the privilege of seeing the power of this work firsthand. With greater access to resources and opportunities, first-generation parents are not only better equipped to guide their children’s education but are also strengthening their families’ overall wellbeing. I’ve witnessed parents grow in confidence, step into leadership, and embrace hope for the future. That transformation is immeasurable—and it proves that when power is given to the community, families rise, thrive, and create lasting success.
