Archer's Catch Up and Read Page

Catch Up & Read is a Dallas-based nonprofit dedicated to helping children in underserved communities achieve grade-level reading proficiency by the end of third grade. By building strong literacy skills early, we empower children to succeed academically, graduate from high school, and create brighter futures while breaking the generational cycle of poverty. I have have been volunteering for the Catch Up and Read Teen Leadership Board for two years. Observing the literacy coaches implement individualized and specific reading plans to other teachers and students has made a powerful impact on me. It was a blessing for me to receive solid and thorough reading skills and literature access at a young age. It definitely made a difference on my education and academic opportunities, and I am grateful for others in less fortunate settings to also receive this training and develop a love for reading and learning. I am grateful to give back.
