Rescue life is hard. Every day we are contacted about pups that have been abandoned or injured and need our help. On Monday a local shelter reached out to our secretary about these two girls. It’s a mom and one puppy. They were found abandoned in the country in an area with a high population of coyotes. We have no idea if there were other puppies that existed but only one was found with mom and she was injured. When we got these pictures they tugged hard on our hearts. The baby is only about 10 weeks old and has already had a horrible life. So of course, we rushed the baby to the vet to get her checked out and, unfortunately, the leg cannot be saved. The infection has already set in and there is zero muscle growth in the leg. This means surgery. We promised mom and baby they were in the best hands and we would get them all fixed up so they NEVER see the street life again. This North Texas Giving Day, we are asking for your help with this small but worthy family.
