Through equine assisted therapy, we have watched both children and adults gain not only physical strength but have seen great improvements in self esteem and overall sense of pride. Our riders have accomplished things that they never dreamed possible. This includes competing in equestrian shows geared for riders with disabilities. Our riders have won numerous competitions in this area which allows them to showcase their accomplishments through the therapy available on horseback.
Our Needs
Stars and Strides Stables has recently launched our Patriots Program. This program is geared towards veterans who struggle with PTSD. The annual budget for this program is set at $38,000. Raising these needed funds will allow us to offer the program for 10 veterans for free.
Mission
Empowering our Stars to reach great Strides in life through the power of the horse. We believe in the remarkable therapeutic power of the equestrian experience because we believe that students of all ages, backgrounds, and ability levels can benefit from riding and working with the horses at our center. Whether they have physical, cognitive, sensory or emotional disabilities, we believe that all our students are STARS.
