Support is needed to provide educational and informational programs to all peoples of Waxahachie and Ellis County, Texas. Such programs include: ESL, Technology/computer training, literacy comprehension, children and adult programming, homebound and outreach services, assisting schools and universities to assist in their mission to educate children, provide professional development opportunities for local businesses, assist the Texas Workforce Commission in job placement, and to provide a safe environment for the community.
Our mission is to provide the best library services in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible by: Promoting reading, reading readiness & cooperative literacy programs. Offering the opportunity for self-development to all ages and all stages of education. Supporting the educational, civic,& cultural activities of individuals, organizations, and groups in the community. Promoting & preserving those materials which chronicle the life and culture of the citizens of Waxahachie.
